Well hey there!

My name is Fitzy (well that's not my real name, but around these parts I go by Fitzy), and I am the sole writer of this here blog.

Yep. ;) I am Lacquer Lad! Sounds a bit like a superhero name. Actually, I think it sounds more like the sidekick. But that's okay. I don't think a guy like me would make a very good superhero anyway. I'd much rather be at home painting my nails and watching The Office.

So anyway, you're here to find out a little more about me! I am a 20 year-old art student living in the States, and a recent self-proclaimed nail polish addict. That's the whole reason I started this blog, of course! Because I love painting my nails and I felt like sharing pictures and thoughts with people who might actually be interested. (I don't have a whole lot of people in my life who are totally into nail paint like I am.)

I live with my wonderful partner, who also enjoys nail polish but concedes that I am the one who actually has a problem. (The first step is admitting it!) I paint his nails too, but not as often as I paint mine.

I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I'm studying art in college, and there are a few things I could do with that, but for now I just paint my nails from the comfort of my own bedroom, and share this stuff with anyone who wants to read.

    1. LOL thank you! I admit, I'm pretty happy that I'm a boy too. ;P It's interesting being a male blogger in a sphere vastly dominated by female bloggers. I actually think it's kind of fun. :)

  11. Wow, I love this! First lad nail blog I've come accross and your nails are as fabulous - so jealous mine never look as nice as that!

    I'm totally with you on why you started your blog, I've just started mine for the same reasons that I'm totally into nail art and fabulous polishes and no-one I know is as into it as me =( I love sharing the love for polishes with the nail blog sphere with people who know how I feel!!

    Anyway you're super talented and I love this blog :)
